Peace Shapers is a registered nonprofit organization in Nigeria with a clear mission: shaping a safer and more peaceful Africa, with and for children. Our primary focus is safeguarding vulnerable children and empowering them to actively contribute to peaceful communities.

We firmly believe in providing every child with a violence-free childhood, allowing them to learn, grow, and lead peace. To fulfil this vision, we prioritize creating safe and secure learning environments that provide inclusive and accessible education opportunities for children.

Through our educational empowerment initiatives, our objective is to equip children with the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and skills to become agents of peace. By doing so, they can effectively tackle violence, resolve conflicts, and creatively build peace.

We recognize children as essential stakeholders in peacebuilding, valuing their pivotal role in shaping a peaceful future. Through our unique and innovative approach, we empower them to take ownership of peacebuilding processes and create their own space at the table.

As an organization, we are fully committed to supporting children by providing them with resources, opportunities, and platforms that amplify their voices and actively engage them as valued shareholders in building a more peaceful Africa.

It is important to note that in building a thriving society, the voices of everyone have to be amplified loudly, including the voices of children!

Children are the structures of a developed society, and in order for society to function properly, every child (privileged or not) deserves to have their legitimate rights protected and enforced. They have the right to be educated, protected from violence, exposed to socio-cultural learning and innovation, and have the right to speak and be heard. Until these are enforced, society will be at the crux of its downfall.

At Peace Shapers, the spotlight is on the children. We will be empowering and supporting marginalized and vulnerable children as they play their part in building a peaceful society.
